Week 2 Tuesday

Stopped by the job about 9:30, no one on the job. Text the contractor to let him know.  When I come back later in the day the entire crew is on site and the tube is up.  Things are getting removed again.  

Now that the ceilings are down I can see that there are going to be a few issues with removing the wall to the Butler's pantry.  I am meeting with the contractor Wednesday morning to see what we can do.  They have obviously relocated walls in this area and we will have to make some structural changes in this room.  But, what else is new, it is remodeling and you never know what you are going to run into.  The door way into the master bath has a header with no supporting post on one side.  But this door is getting removed so no problem.

Finally got a call from Fox Marble and the Neolith http://www.thesize.es/web/index.php slabs I have been waiting for have arrived.  They are really amazing.  These slabs are actually tiles made in Spain that are 5' x 12' x 1/2".  They come in bookmatch sets of two and look just like Calacutta Oro without the price, they will not stain or etch like the real thing.  I am also using the Black Basalt.
